PETRONAS-organised event provided a platform for strategic discussion to advance Asia’s net-zero ambitions
Toto Wolff, CEO and Team Principal of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, and Technical Director James Allison, both attended and spoke at the Energy Asia (26-28 June) conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this week. Held at the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the duo partook in several events as part of the three-day conference.
Organised by PETRONAS, the Team’s Title and Technical Partner, the conference brought together energy professionals, industry captains, and policy makers to discuss and debate pathways for the region to successfully decarbonise. Toto and James were present on day two of the event, discussing the Team’s own sustainability journey, including both challenges and initiatives. A lunch talk focused on leadership lessons from F1 followed a fireside chat at PETRONAS Energy Park for Toto. James meanwhile took part in an informal discussion and Q&A on innovation before both met and talked to Future Energy Leaders.
